Energy Check-In—Tune In and Protect Your Vitality ⚡️

Imagine your energy is like the battery in your phone. When it’s fully charged, you’re ready to take on the day—responding quickly, staying focused, and getting through your tasks with ease. But when your battery is running low, everything starts to slow down. You might feel drained, overwhelmed, and unable to give your best. If you don’t recharge, your performance diminishes, and you can quickly hit a point of burnout. Just like your phone needs to be plugged in to stay powered up, your body and mind need time to rest and recharge to maintain your energy.

Somatic therapy helps you tune into the signals your body sends to let you know whether your energy is flowing freely or depleting. Our bodies are constantly in communication with us, and the more we tune into how we feel physically, the easier it is to understand what we need. Are you running on empty? Are you feeling a sense of energy overload? Or perhaps you’re somewhere in between? Checking in with yourself can help you manage your energy and prevent exhaustion from creeping up on you.

Today, take a moment to assess where your energy is at. Are you feeling low, like your battery is on 10%? Or is your energy steady and consistent, like your phone charged overnight? It’s normal for energy levels to fluctuate, but by being aware of where you are, you can take proactive steps to protect and replenish yourself. Sometimes it’s about stepping back, taking a breath, or setting a clear boundary to protect your peace and ensure you have the energy you need to thrive.

Ask yourself: What do I need to do to ensure I don’t run on empty today? Is there a small action I can take to recharge or protect my energy?

Here are a few journal prompts to help you tune into your energy and protect your vitality:
 ⚡ How is my energy today—low, steady, or overflowing? What does my body feel like physically?
 ⚡ What is draining my energy right now? Is there something I can shift or let go of to give myself a break?
 ⚡ What small step can I take today to protect my energy? Do I need to take a short break, set a boundary, or practice some self-care? By checking in with yourself and being mindful of where your energy is going, you can take the necessary steps to protect and replenish your energy throughout the day. Just like keeping your phone plugged in when it’s low, make sure to plug yourself into what you need—whether it’s rest, nourishment, or a moment of peace—so you can stay fully charged and ready to take on whatever comes your way.
